Heavy Metals Screen
Test Description
Honey, as with other food, may contain certain chemical elements classed as heavy metals such as lead, zinc, cadmium, chromium and tin. Heavy metals can be found in the environment - sources such soils, water, air and plants. As heavy metals can be highly toxic even in small concentrations, they are measured in the honey down to extremely lows levels to ensure they are safe to consume.
The heavy metals screen includes the detection of numerous metals - Lead, Zinc, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Magnesium and Tin.
